Business leaders on the board serve as a vital link in collaboration among these entities to provide excellent educational opportunities, strong teachers, and college and workforce readiness.

Our Mission

To work with Wilson County Schools, businesses and the community to promote excellence in public education.

Our Values

To enrich and empower students and teachers by building relationships and engaging businesses, public schools, parents and community.

Our Story

  • Founded in 1989 as the Wilson County Education Foundation to support public schools through grants, scholarships, and recognition programs.

  • In 1991, the Business and Education Partnership (BEP) was created by the Wilson Chamber of Commerce to strengthen ties between business and education.

  • In 1993, the two organizations merged to form the Wilson Education Partnership, aligning community resources for greater impact.

  • Today, WEP is led by business and community leaders working alongside educators to provide funding, advocacy, leadership, and professional expertise to benefit students and staff.
