Girls in Manufacturing
Girls in Manufacturing is a partnership between Bridgestone, WEP, and Wilson County Schools.
Students engaging with female leaders in the manufacturing industry gain valuable insights into both leadership and technical knowledge. These leaders serve as role models, demonstrating resilience, innovation, and inclusive leadership styles. Through mentorship, hands-on learning, and real-world examples, students not only learn the fundamentals of manufacturing—such as production processes, quality control, and supply chain dynamics—but also develop critical soft skills like communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. Exposure to successful women in the field helps challenge gender stereotypes, encourages diversity in STEM, and inspires a new generation of leaders in manufacturing.
